We’ve Been BLOCKED ON TWITTER By: Insert Idiot’s Name Here
Some D list celebrities just can’t take the heat that comes from their low-level of fame. It always amuses us when we get blocked by people on Twitter just for offering a little bit of constructive criticism. It really shows how insecure these people really are in their positions and reminds us all that they probably don’t deserve to be there. Let’s take a look at the growing list of overrated sports personalities who have fallen into our trap and given us the satisfaction of blocking us on the Twitter machine! Who’ll be the next to join this list?
1. SAM PONDER – ESPN Sideline Reporter
It’s pretty obvious why ultra prude Sam Ponder gave us the old heave-ho: we called her on one of the most ridiculous takes of the 21st century when she tweeted – Blogs/websites that constantly disrespect women & objectify their bodies, then take a strong stand on the Ray Rice issue really confuse me. We set Sam Steele straight in – In Defense of Disrespecting Blog Objectifiers – (Sam Ponder is Clueless)
2. BRITT McHENRY – ESPN Sideline Reporter
We’re not sure how Britt McHenry could block anyone on Twitter after her horrible tirade on an innocent towing lot attendant that was all caught on camera. “I’m on television and you’re in a fucking trailer honey!” Apparently Britt took offense to our piece Buh Bye Britt McHenry: ESPN Reporter Suspended For Berating Towing Lot Attendant. It’s a travesty that ESPN actually still pays her.
3. TIM KAWAKAMI – San Jose Mercury News Writer
This no talent fish wrap hack has had a career of horrible misguided takes on Bay Area sports. In reality, we have had so many arguments with this clown that it’s hard to tell when he finally had enough of our calling his bullshit. The final straw probably came when R-O tweeted this:
Tweeting this out to remind Tim Kawakami 6 months from now that he said Aldon Smith wouldn't play for the Niners in 2014. #Sensationalist
— R-O (@DJ_R_O) April 19, 2014
Of course we all know that Aldon Smith did indeed play the last 7 games of the 2014 season for the San Francisco 49ers. Once again, we were right and the Sensationalist was WRONG!
4. AWFUL ANNOUNCING – Popular Sports Announcing Blog
This one is a bit of a mystery but we suspect that AA blocked us for being on separate sides of the Sam Ponder beef above. Whatever, good to know that these guys don’t have the backs of their fellow bloggers.
5. Zach Johnson – 2-Time Major Champion Golfer
It took Zach Johnson winning The Open Championship in 2015 for us to realize that he blocked us. We really don’t have anything against Zach, besides the fact that he wears his religion on his sleeve a wee bit heavy, but to each their own. We have not even berated him on Twitter for a poor performance in a tournament that we picked him. All we could find was this tweet, which was simply stating the obvious.
— Busch League Sports (@BuschSports) April 17, 2015
This shouldn’t have been a blockable offense in our opinion, but apparently Zach has rabbit ears and wanted to be a part of this distinguished group – not people we’d choose to surround ourselves with.
We Look Forward To Calling Out More People’s BS And Adding To This List!
