Colt McCoy made the most of his opportunity with Washington as he returned to his native Texas and upset the Dallas Cowboys in overtime. In McCoy’s 1st start in the NFL since late 2011, he ran for a key 2nd-half touchdown and was just a yard shot of reaching the 300 mark. Tony Romo was pressured by a blitzing Washington defense all night long and actually was hurt when he took a hit to his surgically repaired lower back, though he did return late in the 4th quarter. DeMarco Murray extended his NFL record with his 8th straight 100 yard game to start the season for Dallas, who lost for the 1st time since week 1.

The Dream Twosome

Alba 2

We’d give anything to join up with these two.

Jessica Alba and John Daly teamed up to play in the World Celebrity Pro-Am at Mission Hills in China this past weekend. Talk about our dream twosome to join up with! JD is a true American Hero and obviously our all-time favorite pro golfer here at Busch League Sports and Jessica Alba ranks very high on our all-time #BuschBabe list as she showed up on Murderers’ Row – Derek Jeter’s Batting Order of Girlfriends and is a constant on the prestigious Maxim Magazine Hot 100. These two look like they had a blast in the Far East. To check out all the photos from the pair’s rounds and a video of Daly’s impromptu jam session with Kenny G at the after party take a look at – Jessica Alba & John Daly Golfing Together – Need a 3rd?

Where Have All The Acceptable Beards Gone?

He is going to punch you for your shit beard.

He is going to punch you for your shit beard.

When I used to think of beards, I would think of defenseman Paul Mara, or noted bad motherfucker Kimbo Slice. I would hearken back to the days when bearded counter-culture icon Jerry Garcia was still alive and rocking between heroin binges, and Billy Jack Haynes and his beard were about to slap a full-nelson on some unwitting jabronie.  Even Brian Wilson’s beard was acceptable, though he rode it right to the edge of the bearded-hipster era, pushing his luck every day.  In a sense, the traitorous Wilson may actually have become the first bearded hipster douchebag after his defection from the San Francisco Giants to their arch-rival Los Angeles Dodgers.

Now when I see a bearded guy, he usually weighs in at about 155 (when drenched and packing pockets full of quarters in his stupid skinny jeans) and is weaving his track bike through traffic with a messenger bag crammed full of shit movie scripts and bad marijuana slung over his flannel.  His beard is coiffed, and styled, and manicured to a fault.  He’s no Matt Light.  He’s not even a dude who hates shaving.  He’s cultivated his beard, as part of his ‘look.’  You’ll want to read the rest of Earl’s hilarious piece on what is and what isn’t an acceptable beard these days in – Modern Hallmarks of Douchebaggery:  Beards
